Barrie Lord

FORMER caretaker Mr Barrie Lord, of Heathfield Road, Stacksteads, died at the Royal Preston Hospital last Tuesday, aged 65.
Mr Lord worked for 40 years at JH Hirst, J and J Ormerod and then was a caretaker at Rossendale Council.
He was also football manager at St Joseph’s Football Club and enjoyed gardening and DIY. He had religious associations with the Church of England.
He leaves his wife Dorothy, daughter Deborah, son Mark, sister Renee, grandchildren Michell and Jon-Paul, Josh, Katie, Alyssa, and partners Philip, Claire, Katy and Chris.
His funeral is next Monday when the Rev David Woodall will conduct a service at the funeral home at 12.45pm, followed by cremation at Burnley at 1.40pm. Family flowers only and donations welcome for the adult leukaemia unit at Christie Hospital c/o funeral director: SR Howorth for W R and V Howorth and Son Ltd, Britannia.
