Win Tatton Park Country Fair family tickets


THE Tatton Park Country Fair is being held over the weekend of 23-25 August at Tatton Park, and this year the fair has more attractions than ever. Event organiser Living Heritage has teamed up with the Stockport Express to give away 10 family tickets for the show.

The Fair has two action-packed main show arenas full of country sports and pursuits, beautiful country crafts, endless speciality food & country store shopping.

The event offers a myriad of country sports and many country’ past times to explore as well. (Arena attractions include, Tom Longton’s sheepdogs, Gun dog multi challenge, Mounted games, Scurry racing, Simon Brinded long netting, Simon Pakefield’s working ferrets, heavy horse working display, side saddle riders and stalking ponies).

The famous English Open Chainsaw Carving Competition is being held with over 20 of the world’s top carvers and artists taking part. This will be the biggest display seen anywhere in UK and as well as carving beautiful pieces of art, each day will see the carvers taking part in speed carves.  Each carved piece will be available to buy at daily auctions.

The Tatton Park Falconry Village has over 80 of the world’s rarest and most beautiful birds of Prey appearing together in indoor and outdoor arenas, creating one of the largest gatherings of these beautiful creatures ever seen at a fair featuring Golden Eagles, Vultures, Hawks, Owls, Falcons and Kites. Visitors may also get the chance to see a prized African Fishing Eagle in the ‘Out of Africa’ display.

The Gundog Multi Scurry Challenge is open to both experienced Gun Dog handlers and beginners and this year is being run by experts in the field, the Scurry Bandits. Family dogs will have the chance to shine as well with over 20 competitions including – waggiest tail, fastest bonio eater and chase the bunny. 

Children’s enjoyment is never left to chance with special fun and games planned just for them. It’s fun for all with the Fur and feather marquee, carousels, simulators, climbing walls, pony rides, puppet making and face painting to enjoy.
