ONE of Ireland’s most talented and daring artists brings his dance theatre to The Lowry for what could be a memorable run.
Olivier award-winning Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre makes its north-west debut with James Son of James – innovative Michael Keegan-Dolan’s latest creation for his company on its first ever UK tour.
He has emerged as a major force in recent years, writing, directing, choreographing and co-producing seven productions for his company of international performers since 1997, including The Bull, which won the prestigious National Dance Award for Best Modern Choreography 2007. James Son of James is a story of accidental heroism, hero worship, sadness, love, power, betrayal and revenge, told through dance, theatre, live song, original music and outrageous humour.
James returns home for his father’s funeral, and becomes embroiled in the lives of 10 characters.
