SEE the world’s most famous classical ballet as never before when the UK premiere of Chinese Acrobatic Swan Lake comes to The Lowry.

This spectacular interpretation of the much-loved tale offers a radical makeover by combining the traditional with stunning acrobatics.

The Guandong Acrobatic Troupe’s extraordinary version even involves high wires as the Swan Princess dances en pointe on her partner’s head!

The incredible pas de deux between Wei Baohua’s Prince and Wu Zhengdan’s White Swan has made the couple – husband and wife in real life – into international stars.

In this fresh and original adaptation, a European prince falls in love with a Chinese swan, and performers use acrobatics and their considerable talents as classical dancers to tell the story.

Expect pole balancing, jumping through fire hoops, rope walking and jujitsu woven seamlessly into this exciting performance.
