THE Bridgewater Hall is the impressive setting for one of the country's largest brass band festivals tomorrow (Saturday).

The ninth Great Northern Brass Arts Festival will showcase some of the North West's finest exponents of this much-loved music. The Black Dyke Band, Foden's Band and the famous American trumpet player Jens Lindemann all appear.

The festival starts at noon with a concert featuring the Wingates Band, followed by an afternoon concert and various piazza and foyer performances.
