This week Diary Editor Dianne Bourne caught up with Donna Nielson, 21, a student at Manchester University, to find out about her stylish look.

How would you describe your style?

Kind of relaxed and comfortable.

Where did you buy today's outfit and how much did it cost?

Jacket: Topshop, £70

Shorts: Miss Selfridge, £20

Tights: Boots, £5

Boots: Uggs, £180

Handbag: Karen Millen, £150

Who is your style icon?

I do like Victoria Beckham.

Name your favourite shops.

All Saints and Topshop.

What's your best ever buy?

Probably my Karen Millen bag. I take it everywhere with me and because it's black it goes with everything.

What's your biggest fashion mistake?

Probably the Ugg boots I'm wearing, because everybody is wearing them now! I walk round uni and everyone has got them on their feet, which is a bit annoying when you think how much they cost. I can't complain that much though because they are very warm.

How much do you usually spend on clothes each month?

About £50. Most things I get given as presents.

What item of clothing can't you live without?

My black All Saints pencil skirt.
