Rampaging youths on wrecking spree

by Victoria Morley
26/ 3/2008

A VIOLENT gang of drunken youths rampaged through Great Moor smashing car wing mirrors and shouting abuse at stunned bystanders last week, according to a shocked Salford visitor.

The teenage hoodlums caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage, as they reportedly destroyed property on Islington Road, and, according to the witness, even threatened to firebomb houses.

Garry Newlove was a brave man, Nor was he a fool. You are the fool You are the fool who doesn't confront them. Cowarding in your homes. If everyone pulled together and flipped their position against the youths as it seems their parents haven't done, then we would have a better place to live in.

If a gang of youths caused bother on the the street and every single mum every single dad phoned the police and came out of their homes and told them stright. It would not arise to anything more than banter. The police would have 10 20 calls about the same incident and would not be in a position to ignore it !.

Its this type of community spirit that when done properly can stop that type of behaviour from happening.

Yobbish parents will always be around. Who don't care about what their rotting apple does on the streets. Until it comes to their doorstep. Then they will want our support as a community well They can !! off !

IF THE SO CALLED 'INITIATIVES' HAD ENOUGH STRENGTH & POSITIVITY - THEN THIS SORT OF (& OTHER) ANTI- SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR WOULD BE LESS EVIDENT/PROMINENT IN THE PUBLIC EYE.... SO THE AUTHORITIES SHOULD STRONGLY REVIEW(ASAP) THE RETURN OF CAPITAL PUNISHMENT - AS A DEFINITE DETERRENT TO THE PERPETRATORS OF THE INCREASING LEVEL OF CRIME(S) - NOT ONLY NATIONALLY - BUT INTERNATIONALLY!!...    I was sat in my living room when this incident occured. I had a small child in bed whose safety I feared for. I heard lots of noise and things smashing and my windows had things thrown at them. On further inspection realised somebody's fence had been pulled apart and the contents thrown at my windows. My neighbours wing-mirrors were also kicked off. This was a pre-meditated, motiveless attack on defenceless people and their property. According to sources there was a similar attack on Dial Park Road on the same evening. These thugs and this yob culture needs dealing with fast because it is getting out of control. We pay high mortgages and rents to live in these areas, not to mention high taxes, only to have our properties damaged and our children frightened. I am disgusted! Do these people have no remorse?
