Bar owner victim of brutal attack

A STOCKPORT businessman who was brutally beaten as he defended his livelihood has hit out at the "video game mentality" that sees armed robbers violently attack their victims without a thought.
Mark Ruby, owner of the Kro Bar chain, was repeatedly bludgeoned with a baseball bat and metal bar as a gang of six men made off with thousands of pounds from his bar on Heaton Moor Road, Heaton Moor.
TOTALLY AGREE WITH 'DENNIS THE MENACE' OF HYDE...IT'S WAY PAST TIME THAT THESE ANTISOCIAL REPROBATES NEED TO BE VERY FIRMLY DEALT WITH...
AND I AGREE RE THE RETURN OF CAPITAL PUNISHMENT!!

It Is a disgrace, I feel so sorry 4 u. I was in an armed robbery not long ago wiv my baby son n I cant come to terms wiv that. Utter SCUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe Video games do contribute to this sort of behavior .......
BUT
Lets look at the real reason behind this ............
Pure and simple .............
PEOPLE WHO COMMIT THESE SORTS OF CRIME ARE ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH IT TIME AND TIME AGAIN BECAUSE THE COURTS GIVE THEM SUCH SOFT AND MEANINGLESS SENTENCES !!!!
THEY END UP WALKING FROM COURT LAUGHING !!!!
ITS TIME THAT THE LAW ABIDING PEOPLE OF THIS LAND HAD THEIR OWN HUMAN RIGHTS ....... GIVE THIS LOWLIFE SCUM HARSH SENTENCES, MAKE THEM WORK FOR THEIR FOOD IN PRISON .... TAKE AWAY THE LUXURIES THEY ARE GIVEN WHILE INSIDE ..... BRING BACK THE BIRCH AND WHILE WE ARE AT IT ... BRING BACK CAPITAL PUNISHMENT !!!

I suppose video games are to blame for Gengis Khan's violence and Adolf Hitler's pure evil attitude towards humanity.
People don't commit crime and attack people because they've played a video game - they do it for money.
To blame video games is just a scape goat for bigger problems with society.

He probably has a point about "video game mentality". In addition, I would also suggest the "gangster" mentality glorified in much of the "Rap Music" that kids seem to enjoy. There is becoming an increasing disregard for people's safety. I doubt the space wasters that did this cared whether Mr Ruby lived, died or was maimed for life. What a liberal and civilised society we have acquired for ourselves.
