Phonebox sex booth lowering the tone
by Rob Dawson9/ 7/2008
ANGRY Bramhall residents have renewed calls to have a phonebox removed - claiming they are sick of seeing teenagers having sex in it.
They say the phonebox, on the corner of North Park Road and Rushton Drive, is used as a meeting point for youths who - as well as vandalising it - use the box to have sex.
I think there should be a CCTV camera facing the phone box, and stills (nothing explicit - just faces)from the video should be posted on a notice board nearby. It should at least put some of them off using it?

So then this is the comment from BT :
"However, there is evidence that the phonebox is well-used"
Well - of course it is !

London Road, Hazel Grove. There was a stabbing recently and every week we have youths AND adults fighting, urinating in alleys and doorsteps, smashed glass, vomitting, shouting and screaming until three in the morning. So how come the so called 'golden mile' as someone from the Express called it recently rarely gets a mention?, the stabbing got a paragraph as far as I can remember. Youths having sex in a phone box gets a picture and is a main article. Surely there are worse crimes in Stockport that merit being reported than this?

I like your thinking Roy! I think that would be quite funny to witness!
I used to live on that estate and things were never this bad. My mother, whi still lives there, has told me how much the area has gone down hill in the last few years so I can understand how these residents feel but surely it doesn't all boil down to a single phone box?! If the phone box were to be removed, would it really help the estate any?

So if anyone asks what Bramhall girls having sex use for protection, we now know.
A telephone box.
Seriously folks, why not note down the telephone number of the box and call it when they're seen to be "at it". It would soon become less attractive.
