Epilepsy treatment may have prevented death
Peter Devine14/12/2005
A COUPLE told of the horrifying ordeal of witnessing their only son suffering a series of convulsions in hospital prior to his death.
I am deeply saddened by this story and send my sincere condolences to Toby's parents. My daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy last year. She is 15 with no previous illnesses whatsoever. I have been having problems with Stepping Hill Hospital also. There is a serious shortage of neurologists and had to wait 6 months to see one and have only seen him once! Something needs to be done about this because this death was senseless and preventable.. Yours sincerely, Dawn.
