I think it would be helpful if specific council departments & community partnerhips were named more in this article, Youth Services & the Youth Offending Team have played a big part in the front line of providing "youngsters??TM educational attainment" & alternatives to a life of crime. Yet there is no mention of the agencies which deal with these issues 'face-to face'. Clearly all inter-agency work, both paid and voluntary, in this area has paid off. But now the funding has all but stopped, how long will the effect last? There are lessons to be learned here that could benefit the entire borough.
