‘Stockport is no capital of crime’
Barbara Canning31/ 5/2006
STOCKPORT'S leading councillor has sent two children's maths books to a London think-tank after miscalculated statistics listed the town as a major crime capital.
If Stockport's leading councillor had acted smart, instead of ridiculing this inaccurate report he would have asked for more government funding to tackle the perceived 'major crime problem'. Less half-baked PR, more political savvy would have served the town far better. Next time, think outside the box, Councillor Millard.
