Brinnington petitions for home closure

RESIDENTS living near a children's home in Brinnington are calling for its closure after suffering years of abuse from the teenage tenants.

   Moving the centre will just shift the problem to somewhere else! I completly understand the resdent's dilema but i really do think the centre should stay put. Moving would mean COST's, which no doubt we would have to pay. Which i will not accept!

   I know brinny well enough, try giving all the kids in the place their own keyworkers, involving the yot where neccesary & sending some detached youth workers round? These kids are already in a vulnerable position & don't need the grief in return, they need help. Are the residents 100% sure that it's even the kids from the home causing the problems or is it just that they don't recognise them as 'locals'?
