Kirsty Elleray7/ 3/2007
EXCLUSIVE: PARENTS of a seven-year-old girl have spoken of their horror after she was chased by two masked men who tried to snatch her from the street - click here for full story and to see Channel M's video report .
like all the other comments what on earth was a girl of that age walking home alone! parents want talking to on how to bring children up!! presume the little girl is allowed to do as she pleases thats where the trouble starts.
feel sorry for the little girl but not the parents.

So "Aunty" you think its ok for a child of 7 is ok to walk the streets at 7.30 in the evening, Maybe to you it doesnt matter what time your children and your family stay out til. It still goes dark around 6 o'clock so it wouldnt matter if it was 10 6 or 12 at night! at the end of the day no child should walk alone these days you dont know who is lurking around whether it be morning noon or night!!!

Ah yes ...the old 'men in white vans' routine. In medieval times little old ladies who lived alone in the country got fried as witches. Now a bloke who drives a white van is a pervmeister. Next time you are out and about just count how many white vans you will see in a short time.
Its the same paranoid attitude that schools have when they say you cant film the xmas nativity anymore because you may be a kiddy fiddler. Jeeez i've got loads of old video of my kids in their nativity plays - does that mean the cops should be busting me as a pervemeister. Mass paranoia- the Simpsons always take the mick out of it and rightfully so.

PARENTS ARE TO BLAME ALONG WITH THE SICK PERVS WHO PREY ON KIDS.
THESE TWO NEED EDUCATING . ITS A SAD SITUATION THESE DAYS, PARENTS WHO'S JOB IT IS TO JUST HAVE CHILDREN AND THATS IT . THEY SHOULD HAVE THEIR JOINT( IF YOU EXCUSE THE PUN) BENEFITS STOPPED FOR TWO YEARS.

What about the fact that a 7 year old was walking alone in Bridge Hall (of all places) alone when it is dark out. I don't care if it was the ''one and only time'' she hadn't been walked home... in this day and age you don't take ANY chances. Never mind parents making sure they tell their children about strangers. Perhaps parents should make sure they have more common sence!!!

At 7 years old , this little kid should be tuck up in bed, it's a shame but that is the world we live in, her mum and dad should not be leaving her to walk home on her own !!
Also hello to anyone who knows me. Big Up the Brigehall Massive

I think it should be ok for a 7 yr old to walk around Bridghall at night, how else would her parents get their cigs, booze and lotto tickets from the late shop, if they went they'd miss corrie.

I have to agree, in this sick day and age that we live in, just why is a 7 year old walking the streets at that time ?? You wouldn't catch me walking round Bridgehall during the day, let alone at night.

I would like to know what sort of parents would allow their 7 year old out on the streets at that time of night . My 6 year old was tucked up in bed at that time.
