Help find the answer to the future of Savoy
Kirsty Elleray18/ 4/2007
STOCKPORT Express readers are being asked to get involved in the very own cliffhanger by solving the mystery of what will be coming soon to the much-loved Savoy cinema in Heaton Moor.
It should remain as a but be reduced in size. Films should move on to less mainstream as shown in cinemas such as the cornerhouse in town. The frontage could then be converted into a split level bar with expensive beer and wines. There are enough 'arty farty' types in the Heatons to support something like this now. Keep the prices up and there will be no problems. It needs something like this at the moor top end of the moor to give the place a boost.

The entertainment that would be ideal for the area is a Gentleman's Club, there will be no drunken behaviour on the streets as many people have stressed if the cinema was turned into a pub.

I'll get the ball rolling.
I reckon we turn it into a 1920s jazz club - in tribute to the era of its construction.
