County boss reveals buy back plan for Edgeley Park
Peter Devine22/ 8/2007
STOCKPORT County Supporters' Trust is lining up a multi-million pound bid to buy back Edgeley Park from Sale Sharks' owner Brian Kennedy.
Not sure if scfc would still be in EP would it not be for sale sharks, stats off the net are as follows....average attendance for scfc is about 4000 (sale do that in season tickets) and average for sale is about 9000, so they could have been kicked out by the banks by now.
Speaking to a few scfc supporters all they say is that sale sharks are killing the grass and football is suffering, can i just say that its not hurting the opponents that beat scfc week in week out. Sorry guys but hopefully you will have a better season in 07/08 fingers crossed.

How about Sale Sharks moving back to Sale?

The County Trust are yet again proving to be very professional and competant.
It will take a long time for them to put right all the disasters and incompetancies of the previous couple of regimes!
And it seems to many that Brian Kennedy is rapidly losing all interest in Sale Sharks.
I wonder how long before he looks to dispose of them to further his desires to own a Championship or Premiership or Scottish football club, after all he and his big buddy Souness tried to buy Wolves didn't they?
I think the days of Sale Sharks both at Edgeley Park and as part of Mr Kennedys empire are numbered to say the least.

Should we not consider looking at building a new ground? I think this is the only way to take the club towards the dream of being a Championship Club year after year. New grounds always increase attendances.

The sooner Sale Sharks are evicted from our ground, the better it will be for all concerned. There will be one hell of a party when that day finally arrives. They are NOT welcome at our football ground and never should be.

This story deos not really say too much in all honesty, nothing set in stone, no contracts signed, just 'we hope'
I 'hope' to have a night of passion with Kylie Minogue but i doubt that would ever happen!
I hope the club have not scored a own goal by showing their hand before a deal has been signed

Fantastic news! I'm sure SALE Sharks won't mind swopping and being the tenants like we've been. We might even let their directors into the boardroom, but then again...

A slow continual development of Edgeley Park is the only viable way forward.
