YOUNGSTERS from Werneth High School in Romiley enjoyed a night of celebrations at Woodford's Deanwater Hotel for their end of year school prom.
Over 200 pupils and staff united for a final group gathering to enjoy a buffet and disco on the evening of their last school day before taking study leave for their GCSE exams.
Headteacher Will Montgomery said: "The whole night went
exceedingly well, the pupils and staff all enjoyed it very
much.
"The experience will be one they remember for a long time.
"I hope that brought together their time here in a big finale.
"It was also a pleasure to see them all decked out in their tuxedos and dresses and looking very smart."
He added: "The prom is a very positive way to end five years of education and to celebrate the time they have had here and before they do their exams.
"It's also a chance to be with their friends and staff as a year for the last time all together as one big group."
