St James' pupils arrive at the Alma Lodge.

GIRLS arriving for St James' RC High school leavers' prom were each handed a rose by the boys.
The thoughtful touch was the idea of Year 11 head Olivia Woods, who said the emotional occasion really brought members of the 125-strong year group together.
The Cheadle Hulme pupils, many of whom arrived in limousines,
sat down to a three-course meal at the Alma Lodge in Buxton Road
before dancing the evening away.
Miss Woods said there were no speeches at the celebration, as these
had already been made at a leavers mass previously held at the
school.
Pupils had read messages and wishes they had written as 11 year olds, which had remained sealed until the special mass.
"They're a lovely group, but I'm biased," said Miss Woods, who got to know the pupils well over their five years at the school.
"They've had their ups and downs but they came through at the end.
"They'd been quite a separate year, with little groups of friends but in the end they were really 'one for all' and that came through at the prom. It was quite emotional."
