BRAMHALL High pupils toured the village in stretch limousines before setting off for their leavers' prom at Manchester Airport.

A fleet of coaches took the 200 youngsters from the school to their date at the airport's Atlantic Suite, where a buffet and disco were laid on.

The occasion was held just before the 16-year-olds broke up to study for their GCSE exams.

Marketing manager Karen Jackson said all the Year 11 tutors and many support staff attended the celebration.

"Everybody enjoyed themselves and the kids were extremely well behaved," she said.

"Some of the dresses that the girls wore were out of this world. It really was a very successful and pleasant evening."
