Priestnall School

15/10/2002

EXCITED pupils strolled through an arch of balloons as they made a grand entrance to the Priestnall School prom at Stockport County Football Club.

Bubbles were blown around the arch and the Year 11 pupils were handed a glass of fruit punch before being shown to their tables.

Head of year Bernard Delaney said many of the school leavers turned up in limousines and vintage cars.

"It's only the second year we've done it and last year the boys wore suits and ties but this year they had tuxedos," he said. "It was a really good night."

Disposable cameras were put on each table to make sure pupils had a lasting reminder of the celebrations.

"It was all done with great dignity and they were very mature," said Mr Delaney. "A lot of the parents turned up to take photos and welcome them in."

The Heaton Mersey pupils enjoyed a three course meal and a disco.
