Body found on M60

POLICE are appealing for information after a body was discovered on the M60 at Stockport.
A man was found lying on the carriageway at junction 27, underneath the Wellington Road bridge, at around 10.15pm on Wednesday, December 12.
He was taken to Stepping Hill Hospital where he died as a result of a severe head injury. At the time of his death, the man was wearing a beige top and dark tracksuit trousers with a white stripe down each leg. He is described as white and in his mid-30s.
The man's family have been notified and the details have been passed to the coroner.
Police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen a man fitting the description on the bridge or in the area at about the time of the incident to contact the Area Four Road Policing Unit on 0161 856 7761.
