SALE Sharks must have discovered something in the Edgeley Park water, as six players, two coaches and the manager have all became dads within weeks of each other!
All nine have celebrated new additions to their families - and all but one of the babies are girls.
Inside the last eight months there have also been new arrivals for ex-players Jason Robinson OBE, Barry Stewart and Andy Titterrell and former chief executive Niels de Vos, who all left Sharks at the end of last season - taking the total baby count to 13.
In a quirk of fate director of rugby Philippe Saint-Andre, head coach Kingsley Jones, rugby manager Paul Smith and players Ignacio Fernandez Lobbe, Oriol Ripol, Stuart Turner, Lionel Faure and Steve Hanley all had daughters. Sharks centre Chris Bell is the only squad member to buck that trend with a little boy.
Sale players and their children were able to celebrate Christmas together at a special party held at Edgeley Park recently - and agreed to pose just for the Stockport Express, with their tiny tots.
