STOCKPORT County fans began queuing for tickets at 7.30am yesterday, to book their place in the play-off semi-finals against Wycombe Wanderers.
The Blue and White Army is mobilising to support SCFC’s bid for promotion from League Two.
The Hatters will battle Wycombe in the away leg on Sunday, and at home on May 17 - FA Cup final day - at 6pm.
A positive result could pave the way for a welcome war in Wembley with rivals Rochdale or Darlington. The club’s media manager Des Hinks said: "The support we are receiving is great, but typical - and no surprise.
"We are the best-supported club in League Two and expect to sell out our entire 2,000 allocation."
With regards to a likely victory, he added: "It’s a tricky one - and the best team doesn’t always win at the play-offs. But it all depends what happens on the day. We’ve had a fantastic season and the team is extremely confident."
The Hatters Independent Supporters Club are in typically robust mode.
They will be taking over new County pub the Plough on Heaton Moor Road, tonight (Wednesday, May 7).
Keeping the team spirits up, landlord Ian Wardle has organised a special County quiz, including a picture round, where individuals or groups can enter for just £1 per person with the winners picking up a £25 voucher to be used in the pub for food or drink.
Ian will also be auctioning two terrific County items and donating 10p per pint from sales of his personalised County bitter with all money raised donated to the groundforapound appeal.
To add to the occasion a couple of County players will also be dropping in to take part in the quiz so the event is a must for fans. The fun starts at 8.30pm

It could prove a bit of a handful...
