Man dies in road collision

A MAN has died after he was in collision with a car as he crossed the road.
The man, who has been named as married 75-year-old John MacNab, was walking across Moss Lane, in Bramhall, at 9.30pm on Friday.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving with excess alcohol.
He has been bailed until Monday 27 October 2008 pending further inquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone who has any information about the collision to contact them on 0161 856 6173.
