A STOCKPORT man has been jailed for two years for his role in a violent sex trafficking operation.

Ian Strong, 37, of Astbury Walk, Cheadle, was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court after pleading guilty to trafficking for sexual exploitation at a previous hearing.

He helped a gang who smuggled a 27-year-old Romanian women into the UK and forced her to work as a prostitute in  Manchester.

Five others were also sentenced fafter admitting the same offence.
