Reward to find missing Jeffrey

A £1,000 reward has been offered to anyone who can help find missing Jeffrey Hodgson.

Jeffrey, aged 39 but who has the mental age of an eight-year-old, went missing shortly after arriving at the Sirenis Playa hotel during a holiday in Ibiza with his parents, Beryl and Derek, on June 8.

Since then the family from Edgeley have campaigned vigorously to the authorities in Spain and Britain's Home Office to help find Jeffrey.

A website set up to help find Jeffrey says, 'The reward offered by Jeffrey's aunt will take the form of a single sum which shall be split in the event of more than one party contributing to the information which leads directly to Jeff`s safe recovery.'

Jeffrey's parents returned to Ibiza earlier this month for a further two weeks, following up a series of reported sightings and to distribute further leaflets and posters. They were joined by other family members soon after.

They are being joined by four further family members on 17th October.

Also joining the search were five volunteers, including Stockport businessman John Fitzpatrick. The group received donated flights from AIR 2000 and the promise of free car hire from Hertz.

The website adds, 'The extensive poster campaign already in parts of the island is producing results and we are grateful to holidaymakers and locals for any information received.

'A further possible sighting has also been reported on the Spanish mainland resort of Costa Blanca.'
