Police probe 'suspicious' death

POLICE are trying to trace the family and friends of a man who was found dead in an Offerton street this morning (Monday).
The man was found in New Zealand Road at 1.15am by a passing motorist and police are treating the matter as suspicious.
A police spokesman said: "The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his death is currently being treated as suspicious.
"His injuries suggest that the man had been set on fire and officers are currently investigating how the fire started."
The man is 6ft tall and aged 20-40.
