Hotfoot it to a bizarre charity fund-raiser

HOT-headed Mark Bates is organising a fundraising event with a difference.

For the vice-chairman of Bramhall Round Table will walk across hot coals for charity, and hopes his pals will follow his lead.

The sponsored firewalk will take place on Sunday, May 19, at Manchester Rugby Club in Cheadle Hulme, with sponsorship going towards local schools.

Now Mark is searching for more brave volunteers to place their tender feet on the fiery coals.

He said: "We see the firewalk as a great way to get local people involved in an exciting activity that not only has a social angle, but will raise money for this great cause.

"Over the last ten years the Bramhall Round Table has raised in excess of £100,000 for charities and we want this year to be the most successful yet.

"We need help from fun-loving volunteers, aged between 18 and 45 years old. We can guarantee lots of fun at fund-raising events and a lively social life to go with it."

In recent years the Bramhall Round Table has donated money to many local charities including the Valley School, local Scout groups and the Adventure Farm Trust.
