AN EQUALISER two minutes from time by Matt Smith secured a valuable Vodkat League Premier Division point for New Mills at Colne’s bitterly cold Holt House Stadium on Saturday.
Smith initially gave New Mills an early lead with a neatly-taken strike after 17 minutes.
However, by the hour mark Tony Hancock’s side found themselves 2-1 down thanks to Liam Garbutt’s double strike.
Smith levelled up the game in the dying minutes when he pounced following an excellent cross from Steve Jackson.
