The Melrose Consortium expect to have their bid to buy cash-strapped Stockport County rubber-stamped on Thursday.

Administrators Leonard Curtis confirmed that they had reached a deal with Jim Melrose last week, but the former Manchester City striker and his group of investors need it to be ratified by the Football League board of directors.
