Great opportunity for Thompson

HATTERS boss Jim Gannon insisted after Peter Thompson’s capture from Linfield that the move would be ‘great for everybody’.

Gannon, speaking to County TV immediately after ‘Pistol Pete’ had made the switch from Northern Ireland for a substantial six-figure fee, said: "We will get value for money from Peter".
