SLIDING IN: County’s Adam Griffin is pictured being challenged by Shrewsbury Drummond at Edgeley Park on Saturday.
We should have won easily, says Gannon.

JIM Gannon felt that his side’s performance warranted a maximum points haul on Saturday.
Adam Proudlock’s 33rd minute equaliser - his fourth strike in just three games - ultimately earned County a point, but the team’s performance did deserve three.
Gannon said after the game: "We’ve worked really hard today and we’ve outplayed a team who were at the top of the table.
"We should have won the game easily.
"In many ways we’ve learned another good lesson today though, and we’ll continue to learn lessons.
"We played some good football out there today and we showed plenty of attacking endeavour throughout the game.
"We showed that we are a good side and that we will be difficult to beat.
"There’s plenty of quality in my team. We had 11 good players on the pitch today, five on the bench, and another five or six good players sat in the stand watching."
Gannon added: "All the lads took responsibility today, but we didn’t get the result we deserved."
Gannon certainly got a welcome response from his players following the disappointment of the Mansfield defeat, and after labelling Adam Proudlock ‘fantastic’, he also singled out fellow striker Matty McNeil for praise.
Gannon added: "Matty did struggle a bit last week at Mansfield and he has had a difficult week, but he has recovered brilliantly today.
"We’ve managed him well this week and he’s managed himself well. He was a real threat all afternoon."
Shrewsbury boss Gary Peters appeared quite relieved and pleased to have gained a point from the Edgeley Park clash.
He said: "That was definitely a point gained today, but it was a point we deserved.
"When we look back at the end of the year we’ll realise that this was a good point for us today.
"Stockport are a good side, but we did deserve a draw today, we showed plenty of fight and spirit.
"You find out a lot about your team on a day like this."
The Hatters must travel to face the winners of the outstanding first round tie between Wrexham and Macclesfield Town.
They are due to meet on September 18, with the second round tie scheduled for week commencing October 8.
