HE’S UNDER THERE SOMEWHERE: Match-winner Dominic Blizzard is mobbed by his County team-mates after scoring at Edgeley Park against Wrexham on Saturday.

THE well-deserved victory over Wrexham last weekend has given everyone at County a lift - just like a similar outcome against the same opposition did last season.
That’s the view of Hatters boss Jim Gannon, who watched his side come from behind to win 2-1 on Saturday thanks to splendid goals from Anthony Elding and Dominic Blizzard.
Gannon said: "Saturday’s win has given the players renewed confidence and belief. Last season’s corresponding fixture against Wrexham, which was also in September [County won 5-2], went on to have a big bearing on how things developed, so let’s hope that’s the case again this time around.
"There were lots of positives to take out of Saturday, the win gets everybody back on track, and maybe we can become genuine contenders now.
"That’s the beauty of three points for a win. It had been a bit frustrating just picking up the one point from our recent draws, but of course wins are so valuable. It’ll be tough to maintain a winning run as we’ve now got back-to-back away games at Brentford and then Morecambe, but my players have got enough in them, both physically and mentally, to go to these places and win.
"It will be a very challenging period for us, particularly away from Edgeley Park. It’s a long trip on Saturday, then we’re on the road again three days later, but everyone is feeling a little bit better about our situation now."
Matty McNeil, Gareth Owen, Dominic Blizzard, Adam Griffin and David Poole sat out training early this week as they all tried to shake off niggling injuries, but Gannon reports that all five should be okay for Saturday’s trip to Griffin Park.
Meanwhile, striker Liam Dickinson could return to the squad for Tuesday’s trip to Morecambe. He is due to have the cast removed from his injured hand on Monday. Gannon added: "It’s been very frustrating for Dicko to have to sit out the last few games, he’s a naturally enthusiastic player.
"He’s raring to play, and if the medical advice is what we all want to hear on Monday, he could be added to the squad for the Morecambe game."
Primarily he is looking to ‘freshen up’ his attacking options.
