An excellent study centre

STOCKPORT County’s study centre at Edgeley Park been designated a National Centre of Excellence.
The centre was awarded advanced status following a rigorous inspection process last Friday when staff were praised for their outstanding use of creative technology, and their partnerships with local schools and, of course, Stockport County.
The centre is now one of just ten awarded advanced status from 150 centres nationwide.
Study centre manager, Gary Richards, said: "We are absolutely delighted to have achieved advanced status and to be seen as a National Centre of Excellence is fantastic, and something we are immensely proud of.
"I would personally like to thank County managing director, Mark Maguire, and all his staff for their continued help and support."
Maguire added: "Everyone at County offers hearty congratulations to Gary and his team for this tremendous accolade.
"The work they do with local children is exceptional, which has been deservedly recognised by their advanced status award.
"To become one of only ten centres nationally to achieve this level of performance is a marvellous achievement, and I’m sure Gary will now push on to try and achieve number one status."
