Owen's pride after Posh victory

COUNTY skipper Gareth Owen has been speaking of his pride after leading his team to such a memorable victory at Peterborough United on Saturday.
A special day was completed for the influential centre-back when teenager Tommy Rowe struck in the second half as the Posh lost for the first time in 18 games and County extended their unbeaten run to 10.
Owen told the Express: "The gaffer said after the game that he was humbled by the effort everyone put in, and from front to back, from start to finish, every man in the team performed a crucial role.
"It’s great to be the captain when you know that everyone is pulling in the right direction.
"Peterborough’s fans turned out in their masses, our fans were really making themselves heard, but to come out on top was great.
"It sets things up nicely for Saturday’s game against MK Dons now.
"I think Peterborough thought they were going to win last weekend. They fancied their chances and their manager Darren Ferguson had said ahead of the game that he expected his side to win.
"But we’ve upset the form book.
"We showed that, on our day, we are probably the best team in League Two.
"We’re just looking forward to our remaining games with lots of confidence now, and training has been fantastic.
"All the lads are looking so sharp. We don’t fear anybody at the moment."
