Logan back at Eastlands

23/ 4/2008

SHALEUM Logan has been recalled from his successful loan spell at County by Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson.

Logan, who made seven County appearances, returned to Eastlands this week backed by words of encouragement from Hatters boss Jim Gannon.

He said: "City have got a few injuries so we fully understand the situation.

"They were respectful of our situation with it being so close to the end of the season, but Shaleum is their player.

"We just hope that he gets an opportunity in their first team now. Shaleum’s itching to get a chance.

"Fair play to Shaleum, he’s done well for us and we all wish him well."

Gannon will be forced to tweak his team for Saturday’s game at Barnet now.

Michael Raynes will probably still be missing due to his hamstring injury, but Jason Taylor, who has a hamstring strain, and Liam Dickinson, who was ill on Monday, should make the trip to Underhill.

If there is any further doubt surrounding Taylor, however, County’s young midfielder Paul Turnbull may not have his loan deal at Altrincham extended for the Robins’ last game of the season this weekend against Weymouth.

Greg Tansey will stay with Altrincham until after the weekend though.
