We'll pick ourselves up

COUNTY’S automatic promotion dream is over now but, as Saturday’s goalscorer Tommy Rowe revealed after the game, it’s all about the players picking themselves up and trying quickly to get back on the winning track.
It was a blow to lose at Underhill of course, but County shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that the promotion dream is far from over now after such a memorable season.
Rowe told the Express: "We’re all very disappointed to lose that game, but all we have to do now is pick ourselves up and get on with Tuesday night’s game at Chester.
"We still have to finish the season strongly and make sure we go into the play-offs in good form.
"It was my first time playing against Barnet on Saturday, but I did know that they are a bit of a bogey team for us.
"I don’t know whether the heat had anything to do with this latest defeat, but the lads just seemed to be lacking something. Maybe it was just one of those days.
"We’ll get back in training on Monday and go again.
"I feel okay, so hopefully I’ll get another chance on Tuesday at Chester.
"We’ll still be going full tilt for two wins against Chester and Brentford no matter what, we still want to win those two games definitely."
So Rowe’s sixth goal of the season on Saturday - a superbly-executed chip from just inside the Barnet box - was to be in vain, but the teenage whizz-kid was still delighted with his 50th minute effort.
The County youngster added: "I’m over the moon with my goal despite it coming in a defeat. At the end of the day, I just didn’t expect to get six goals in my first season.
"I wasn’t aware that there were two defenders around me at first, but once Liam Dickinson won that ball and flicked it through to me, I knew I’d be in with a chance.
"I saw the ‘keeper come off his line , so that’s when I knew I’d have to dink it over him."
Rowe has been in awesome form at times since breaking into Jim Gannon’s first-team in February.
