Breaking the 3,000 barrier
18/ 6/2008
FANS are clearly still struck by promotion fever after it was revealed yesterday [Tuesday] that County have now broken the 3,000 barrier for season ticket sales.
At lunchtime yesterday, sales stood at a hugely impressive total of 3,018.
And, with the ‘early option’ lower prices deal extended by County chiefs until this Friday, the Hatters are hoping to reach 3,500 sales - a new club record.
Delighted club managing director Mark Maguire said: "We were happy to extend the early option deadline after the fans had seen their 2007/08 season almost move into June, thanks to the play-off campaign.
"If we can hit the 3,500 mark then that would be a great effort from all our fans.
"They are all clearly excited as we lok forward to battling it out in League One next season."
Prices for the growing army of passionate junior fans are particularly appealing for the 2008/09 season, with under-16s able to watch all 23 league games for just £50.
And, if Mum or Dad buy a season ticket, then the price of an under-16 ticket drops to an incredible £23, which is little over £1 a game to experience the unique Edgeley Park atmosphere.
Adult prices are also extremely attractive with season tickets in the Cheadle End working out at only £11 a game.
