A summer of fun with County

COUNTY’S Football in the Community office have now released dates and venues for their ever-popular Summer soccer schools and Sporting Tots courses.

The FA charter standard soccer schools will take place at Stockport School between July 28 and August 1, August 11 and August 15, and August 26 and August 29.

Moorfield Primary school will be the venue between August 4 and August 8 and August 18 and August 22.  Sporting Tots courses run from the Tuesdays to Thursdays each week at Stockport School.

Last year more than 350 children of all different ages and abilities took part and had a great time, taking part in many new activities along with meeting Stockport County players throughout the week.

Highly-motivated coaching staff have been trained to focus on all participants learning new techniques and skills in a one v one situation. Also, new and unique coaching aids will be available to develop each player in a challenging and stimulating manner.

Meanwhile, County’s FITC staff are also offered an advanced week of coaching again, for budding stars between 11 and 16 years of age. That takes place at Stockport School between Monday, July 21 and Friday, July 25.

Again this is an opportunity not to be missed as it allows the potential for players to be selected for trials with the County Centre of Excellence for the season starting in August.
