THE annual County charity cricket match returns on Sunday [27th] at Poynton Sports Club, when the current Hatters squad will take on a team of former players.

The event is in aid of Stockport and District Multiple Sclerosis, DebRA and Stockport CP.

Admission to the event will cost £2 for adults, with free entry for children.

In addition to the sporting entertainment there will be a variety of prizes to be won in a raffle held on the day, and a souvenir programme/scorecard will be on sale.

The Sports Club have a licensed bar and food will also be on sale.

Stockport County juniors will be at the event offering their face painting service and running their tuck shop.

Poynton Sports Club is on London Road North in the centre of Poynton, and the Supporters Liaison Group wish to thank them for permission to use their facilities for this ever-popular charity fund raiser.

The teams will be gathering from around 1pm, with the action likely to start around 2.30pm.

Currently, amongst those who are confirmed for the past players XI are Brett Angell, Tom Bennett, Keith Briggs, Adam le Fondre, Damien Allen and Lee Todd.
