Jim eyeing loan deals

JIM Gannon has admitted that it is unlikely any permanent new signings will be added to his squad before next Monday’s [Sept 1] permanent transfer deadline.
However, the County boss is looking towards temporary loan deals, particularly now that injuries have begun to hamper his preparations ahead of Saturday’s home League One clash against Scunthorpe United.
Matty McNeil suffered a meniscus [knee] injury during the pre-match warm-up at Hartlepool last Saturday, while right-back Johnny Mullins suffered medial ligament damage following a crunching block tackle on Willie Boland.
McNeil and Mullins could both be out of action for 4-6 weeks.
Jason Taylor is still six weeks away from full fitness, but striker Peter Thompson will be available again now that he has shaken off a thigh injury.
