More praise heaped on Rowe

HE MUST be getting used to it by now, but young Tommy Rowe was once again showered with praise from his manager after Saturday’s latest heroics at Leyton Orient.

County starlet Rowe, who turns 20 years of age next Wednesday, put the polish on another great team and individual performance at the Matchroom Stadium when his crisp second-half strike made it 3-0 to the visitors.

It was Rowe’s third goal of the season already, having already notched at Huddersfield and Hartlepool.

Hatters’ boss Jim Gannon said: "Tommy’s a big player for us.

"I’ve spoken since the first day he took to the pitch for us that I think he’s destined for a great future.

"Three league goals already says it all about Tommy really.

"On Saturday once again he wasn’t found wanting defensively, he’s got great athleticism and great ability.

"He’s going to go a long way in the game.

"It’s so pleasing for me to have such a good player in the side, and you can always rely on him.

"The power in his shot on Saturday was unbelievable, it was like his goal at Hartlepool.

"It’ll be nice to watch that one on TV again this week."
