Chabal a doubt due to injury

SEBASTIEN Chabal is a doubt for Friday’s match against Bristol due to a knee injury.

The No.8, who was forced off the pitch at the end of the first half of Sharks match against Brive on Friday, underwent a scan this week and Sale’s medical team are working to get Chabal fit.

It is a huge blow ahead of a crucial 10 day period during which Sale will play three matches.

Also absent due to injury will be Rory Lamont, who is likely to be out until the end of the season with fractures of his cheekbone and eye socket, sustained during the Six Nations, and centre Rudi Keil, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury.

Brent Cockbain will be available to play again this weekend after serving a five week suspension for stamping.
