Euro giants Munster in Sharks' pool

SHARKS will face European champions Munster in the pool stage of the Heineken Cup next season.

The draw, which took place yesterday [Tues], also pits Sale against two French clubs - ASM Clermont Auvergne and Montauban.

Sharks played Munster during the Championship-winning 2005/06 season, beating them at Edgeley Park in the opening round.

ERC will now liaise with the broadcasters so a fixture list for each group can be drawn up.

The only way for Sharks’ supporters to guarantee a seat for these games is by purchasing a season ticket for the 2008/09 campaign.

Season ticket prices start from £149 for adults and £59 for juniors for 18 Sale Sharks home games - including the three Heineken Cup pool matches.

The Guinness Premiership fixtures for next season will be drawn next Tuesday (24th). Fans can find out who Sharks will face on the opening day of the season by logging on to www.salesharks.com.

The club expects demand for season tickets to increase once the fixtures are announced and is advising people to book early to secure the best seat.
