JEREMY Staunton kicked 14 points for NEC Harlequins to condemn Sale Sharks to their second consecutive defeat at a freezing Edgeley Park on Friday night.

In direct contrast Sale's Byron Hayward had a torrid time with the boot recording only a 50 per cent success rate as the Sharks went down 19-13 in what was a poor game - even allowing for the fact Sale had 10 first team players missing due to international call-ups.
