Robinson confident as big names return

SALE Sharks willl be hoping to be back to full strength when they face Narbonne at Edgeley Park a week on Friday in the second round, second leg of the European Challenge Cup.

And the unseeded French side can expect to be met by the full force of Sale's international brigade: Mark Cueto, Andy Titterrell, Charlie Hodgson, Andy Sheridan, Sebastien Bruno, Mike Hercus and Jason Robinson following their appearances in the autumn internationals.

"Leading England over the past three weeks has been a fantastic experience," said Robinson.

"But now the focus is on Sale Sharks and beating Narbonne. The home leg next week will be a massive game. We'll need a 10,000 plus crowd to see us through to the quarter finals, and I'm confident our supporters will be happy to turn out and support the return of all our international stars."

The Sale pack is expected to be boosted by the return of Scotland's Jason White who is keen to add his weight to the Sharks bid to advance to the next round of the European Challenge Cup.

"I'm very happy to be back in Manchester and looking forward to getting stuck in against Narbonne," he said. "They are a difficult side and the matches against them will be huge occasions."

So far this season Sale have posted record attendance figures with average gates up 20 per cent on this time last year with the sale of season tickets up 30 per cent.
