SALE Sharks advanced into the European Challenge Cup quarter finals following their 25-10 victory against Narbonne at Edgeley Park on Friday night.

Chris Mayor, Steve Hanley and Sebastien Chabal all scored tries for the Sharks with Mike Hercus adding 10 points with the boot.

Immediately after the game Sharks director of Rugby Philippe Saint-Andre said: "I'm very pleased with our overall performance in beating quality French opposition across the two legs. We look forward to the quarter final which will be an exciting occasion for the team and the Sharks supporters."

The home leg of the European Challenge Cup quarter final will be played at Edgeley Park on Friday, January 7th kick-off 7.45pm.
