Sale Sharks 27 Munster 13

SALE Sharks enjoyed a dream start to their Heineken Cup campaign after beating European veterans Munster 27-13 at Edgeley Park.

A record crowd of 10,704 witnessed Sharks recover from a one-point deficit at the interval thanks to tries from captain Jason Robinson and Sililo Martens.

The remaining 17 points came from England fly-half Charlie Hodgson's reliable boot.
