Europe draw

PHILIPPE Saint-Andre will find out the identity of Sale Sharks' Heineken Cup pool opponents next Wednesday.

The draw for the top European competition will take place at Twickenham, the venue for next season's Heineken Cup final.

Sharks are the top English seed after winning the Guinness Premiership so will avoid clashing with Ulster, Edinburgh Gunners, Cardiff Blues, Biarritz or Benetton Treviso, or any of the other English sides in the group stages.

The six pools consist of four teams each and Sharks could find themselves up against the likes of Toulouse, Leinster or Neath-Swansea Ospreys in the early stages of the tournament.
