Recognition for coaches
30/ 8/2001
GENERAL: Sports coaches across the borough are being invited to enter the third annual Stockport Coach of the Year Award.
The award scheme, run by the Greater Manchester Coaching Development Forum, was set up to recognise the time, dedication and expertise that a coach has given to improve play or performance in Stockport.
Nominated coaches must live or coach in the borough, coach at any level and hold at least one governing body qualification. Coaches cannot nominate themselves.
The previous two winners in Stockport have been Alex Keay (rugby union) and Susan Morrison (tennis).
This year's winner will join nine others selected throughout Greater Manchester at a presentation evening at the new Bolton Arena in November.
The closing date for entries is October 1 and the Stockport award will be judged during October.
